Chappell Blog bio picture

Welcome to our blog!

I am...  a child of the King, a people person, a Florida girl, a dog kisser, a music lover, a photographer, a homebody, an avid reader, a mellowed general, and a hopeful chef.

He is... a new Steeler fan, a runner, a french toast master, a lover of cold weather, a great dancer, a creative mind, an Alabama boy, a wonderful servant, and my absolute best friend on earth.

They are... slobbery and sweet.  What more could you ask for?

This is a record of our life together.  Enjoy!

Vacation Part 2

After we left the Chappell Christmas in Tennessee, Brad and I drove down to St. Augustine, FL to spend New Years with my family. They rented a wonderful house right on the beach (which was dog-friendly), and we spent the week with our family, Krisan and Casey, our Aunt and Uncle, cousins, Meme, and our 5 dogs (Tuco, Turk, Jasper, Lexie and Willy). It was so much fun.

This was the view off our front porch in the mornings. My dad took this beautiful photo and caught a bird mid-flight!

The house sat on old A1A, so the intercoastal was on the back and the beach on the front. Beautiful!

We started every morning with a walk down the empty beach…

Any guess where I got my love of photography?

Our cousins Britt and Marie and their 4 kids came over one day, too. And, we did a mini photo session for them which I posted over here! It was just so fun to see everyone.

Of all the vacations I can remember, I think this one in both TN and FL was the most memorable. We loved driving down from PA, we loved having the dogs with us, we loved having significant time with so much family, and we soaked up all the down-time. But, as usual, by the time it was over, we were certainly ready to get back to our winter wonderland and our wonderful community here in Pittsburgh!
